Avarude Raavukal Review and 1st Day Collection
Avarude Raavukal, the second movie by young director Shanil Muhammed after Phillip and the Monkey pen, has long been in the news for wrong reasons. Unexpected demise of its young producer and infinite postponing of release date made enough headlines in the media.
Although a loud copy from Hollywood, Dileep-starrer My Boss was certainly a crowd favorite with its overbearing female boss and her naive assistant. Well, get ready for a better dose of the game of one-upmanship in office space in upcoming Shanil Mohammed-movie Avarude Ravukal, starring Unni Mukundan and Asif Ali in lead roles. The shoot of Avarude Ravukal was something that she loved to bits. Avarude Ravukal which is all set to hit theaters on June 23, is Mohammed’s second venture after Philips and the Monkey Pen, which he co-directed along with Rojin Thomas. Avarude Ravukal tells the story of three youngsters, who reach Kochi from different social strata, and their accidental meeting with a man called Scobo Johns. It becomes a turning point in their life. Actors Asif Ali, Unni Mukundan and Vinay Forrt portray the three youths and veteran actor Nedumudi Venu essays the role of Scobo Johns. Honey Rose is the female lead.
The director has attempted to acknowledge almost all emotional issues faced by today’s youth, including the reluctance to confess a mistake. This very part is played by Vinay Forrt, which would make us recall the ‘Java professor’ in ‘Premam.
